My Father, Amos Bakken, was one of the well-known drywall contractors in the Ballard area and had me helping out on jobs when I was just 9 years old. I remember sitting on his work bench for hours, watching all the things he loved to do as a craftsman, and I am sure that is where my love of the trades began. Through my 35-year love affair with my husband, Jack Fecker, one of our great joys was building and creating new adventures in the market place. Building new homes, remodeling, operating restaurants, and since 1984 for me, creating and operating painting companies on my own, and also with Jack. In healthy times, Jack made it clear that if the time came, he wanted me to lead Jack's Ever GREEN Painting Corp. into the future, working alongside Andrey, our General Manager, and our son, Jason. So on March 6, 2017, when we lost our Beloved Jack after a brief illness, that is what took place. Jack has laid a strong foundation of integrity and stellar customer service for this company, and each member of our team makes a big difference in moving us forward. Our mottos within the community will always continue to be, "We Love to Paint!" and " We Look Forward to Serving You!"

"This is the third year in a row that Jack's Ever Green Painting has done a major painting job for our Montessori School. This year, the company painted the interior of our main building, approximately 8500 square feet. The building was only available for painting during the school's 5 day mid-winter break.
The process was very smooth. As always the company was very responsive and we soon scheduled the work. We selected a lighter color for the paint. Jack's Ever Green Painting's large project crew started work on the first Saturday and worked diligently to complete the work. They finished in plenty of time for the return of our preschool children. As before, the work was meticulously done, especially around our cedar ceilings, our carpet and wood floors. Rick showed up exactly on time, did the job efficiently and effectively and left in 90 minutes. The areas he worked in were spotless when he left.
